This piece was inspired by the relationship between the Greek gods Hades, god of the Underworld, and Persephone, goddess of Springtime.
 
"Toxicity" explores a different perception of what a relationship among two perfect opposites may be. A seemingly perfect bond between two gods may not always truly reflect what is shown on the surface. Two people are not always meant for eachother, and one or the other may be the cause of toxicity within the relationship. 
 
The dark shades of the painting collide with the bright whites and passionate reds and give hint to a deeper meaning between the two people in the artpiece.
